The lessons of successful family Añaños

"Añaños" a strange and unusual surname in Peru and Latin America today is associated to a brand of soft drink that has become the most important competition of the multinationals, Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola in Peru, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Thailand.
Certainly, the owners are Añaños Kola Real, the colourful drink that arose in the depths of the Peruvian Andes, precisely in the city of Ayacucho in the mid-eighties when get worse terrorism of the Shining Path with its "stoppages armed "that prevented the entry of trucks from Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola and Inca Kola.

The History
They were years of violence and social backwardness, economic and political capital of the Ayacucho Department of the same name is known by the number of churches dating from the era of Spanish Virreynato; was the birthplace of the terrorist group Shining Path but paradoxically, there also was born what is now the example of popular capitalism in Latin America.
Eduardo and Mirtha Añaños were a couple of farmers in Ayacucho chain east of the Andes in the interior of Ayacucho. Terrorism ejected from the ranch and its virtually forced to live in poverty in the city.
