Facebook, hi5, Badoo, second life. I am sure that you acknowledge at least one of those words. And if a member of a social community on the Internet, I can assure you with a high probability that multiple’re a member. What does that mean? With that I mean people who have multiple accounts, one in facebook, another Badoo and filling in a long list of accounts in various online communities.

Ever wondered why you do not love to be hours and hours browsing these communities, as if we were looking for something important? It is only because we have nothing more important to do? Or is there some magic behind those communities that compels us to connect virtually every time to see if anyone has sent us a message?

I have asked that, and today I want to share my thoughts with you. In fact, I too am a member and I have multiple user accounts on all sides. That way I got enough experience in that subject.

I think the people who invented virtual communities, sought nothing more than satisfy a basic need which is the human being. Need basic, what do you mean? The needs such as eating, sleeping, drinking water are so important to our survival, we can not be without them. So they say they are basic.
However, being in a group of friends at a social gathering, talking about anything that interests us, to be loved by someone else, these are also basic needs. Although rather social needs and not tangible. But they have a very high importance in the life of each person. That is demonstrated analytically by social scientists.

But not only is this, that attracts us both to virtual communities. There is another aspect. It is the possibility of making friends, though perhaps we people with a timid character. If you’re not a shy person, or you can imagine how much it costs to make new friends. It’s amazing how easy it is to make new friends in a virtual community. With a single click, and you got a new friend on your list. And the best, no one has prejudices about yourself, because nobody knows you. Perhaps those using a false personality.

This is another important aspect. In a virtual community, you can be anyone. A member of a rock band, a NASA technician or what’s happening. There are no limits in this regard.

We see that with virtual communities, is so easy for anyone, win friends anywhere in the world. On the one hand we meet one of our basic needs and on the other hand is a nice passes time watching photos and comments. And who knows, until we could find our half orange in one of these virtual communities, waiting until we find ourselves.
